The Tsuut’ina Community Rodeo Club is comprised of Tsuut’ina citizens who love to ride and love the sport of rodeo. For many years now, Tsuut’ina citizens work on developing their horsemanship skills while mentoring our youth  and preparing them for rodeo competition.  We have united Tsuut’ina Cowboys and Cowgirls and have fostered a sense of community.

In 2018, a small group of these individuals made an effort to a formalize a fundraising campaign to support Tsuut’ina athletes who qualified for the INFR in Las Vegas. The success the group had was encouraging. The community recognized that by working together they could generate revenue that would support a common need for training, the development of youth and the financial needs of the Nations’ elite level athletes. Therefore, in January 2019, the group formally established itself as a Tsuut’ina Community Rodeo Club.

Money generated by the club is designated to:

• Bridge funding gaps for youth programming related to the development of horsemanship and animal husbandry skills;
• Support the development of competitive experience and confidence on Tsuut’ina youth and;
• Support the financial needs of Tsuut’ina Elite Athletes

The Tsuut’ina Community Rodeo Club looks forward to hosting family friendly events. We work with representatives of Chief and Council, the Community, and industry to ensure the success of the initiative.

The Tsuut’ina Community Rodeo Club will work to actively engage the Tsuut’ina Families to identify and honour Tsuut’ina Cowboys and Cowgirls who have demonstrated excellence in rodeo sport and a commitment to community. The legacy of these Cowboys and Cowgirls will be included in the printed event program. Additionally, the legacy of Tsuut’ina cowboys and Cowgirls will be honored in brief presentations between each event.
