The Tsuut'ina Rodeo Club will host events at the Harry Dodginghore Memorial Agriplex.  This will enable our youth to showcase their talents inside a real rodeo setting.

The Tsuut’ina Nation has a long history based in agriculture, animal husbandry and horsemanship. Programing at the Harry Dodginghorse Memorial Agriplex (HDMA) ensures that all Tsuut’ina citizens have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in these areas. The program is funded by the Tsuut’ina Nation through monies generated by economic development initiatives.

HDMA programming includes an after-school program that is delivered five days a week. The riding program offers students a chance to develop basic riding skills through a series of drills and games run under the watchful eye of riding instructor and coach Wright Bruised Head. Programming also supports skills development in intermediate to advanced level riders and is also accessible by the Nations adults. HDMA programming can be accessed on a drop in or ongoing basis. Many riders who participate in the program develop the skills and knowledge required to enjoy recreational horseback riding. Others develop the skills required to compete in rodeo sport. Individuals who peruse the sport competitively train all year round to ensure that both horse and rider develop the skill mastery and physical conditioning required to perform at peak levels.
