Tsuut'ina Community Rodeo Club and Harry Dodginghorse Memorial Agriplex (HDMA) program are partnering with the Tsuu'tina Middle School for the Atlosghast'a Campaign.   The three day rodeo will introduce students to the HDMA after-school riding program while following the Mandate of the Community Rodeo Club which is Honouring the Legacy of Rodeo in Tsuut'ina.

The goal of this partnership is to help students develop needed skills and attributes, such as accountability, responsibility, self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and self-control.

Studies have indicated that horses have been successful in helping students show marked improvements in the following areas:

• Stress tolerance

• Flexibility

• Impulse control

• Problem-solving skills

The HDMA programming includes an after-school program that is delivered five days a week. The riding program offers students a chance to develop basic riding skills through a series of drills and games run under the watchful eye of riding instructor and coach Wright Bruised Head.
